Timothy’s Hutch Brings Classic Cocktails and Cultural Programming to the Hotel’s Lobby

Chicago, IL – JUNE 22, 2017: Continuing its legacy as the epitome of contemporary hospitality, The Blackstone, Autograph Collection (636 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago) brings a new cocktail concept and cultural programming to visitors this June with the addition of Timothy’s Hutch in the hotel’s newly-transformed lobby, now open. The custom-made cocktail hutch offers a list of craft cocktails and a 1960’s-inspired menu of small bites to guests nightly.

Prominently situated in the center of The Blackstone’s lobby, Timothy’s Hutch accentuates the hotel’s classically stunning interior design by day and transforms the lobby into a social hub and gathering spot for hotel guests and local tastemakers by night.

The carefully curated cocktail menu takes guests through the past, present, and future of The Blackstone with eight craft cocktails.

Cocktails include

  • Timothy’s Old Fashioned, a nod to the hotel’s namesake Timothy Blackstone; Marshall & Foxy Lady, which honors the hotel’s original architecture team Marshall & Fox
  • Al’s Old Pal, a stiff salute to one of the hotel’s most notorious guests, Al Capone.

Guests of Timothy’s Hutch are also invited to indulge in an array of nostalgic, 1960’s-inspired snacks, including Jell-O Du Jour, a Curated Cheese Plate, and Cold Cuts.

With a Timothy’s Hutch cocktail in hand, guests enjoy the hotel’s newly-unveiled Blackstone Beats music series, featuring live performances from local jazz artists every Wednesday evening, and live DJ sets each Friday night, providing both a nostalgic and modern take on entertainment in this iconic space.

Timothy’s Hutch is The Blackstone’s newest food and beverage concept addition, following the completion of a multi-million dollar renovation and addition to Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s collection of independent, luxury hotels.

Timothy’s Hutch opens to hotel guests and locals alike Sunday – Saturday between 5 – 8 p.m. Lobby seating is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis; the hotel does not accept reservations for Timothy’s Hutch.
